Terms and Conditions

The following terms are used between Luova.fi and its customers when trading on the Internet. Luova.fi sells products to private persons of at least 18 years of age (later referred to as “consumer”) and to companies and organizations (later referred to as "corporate customers"). Luova.fi also sells products to consumers of 15 to 18 years of age on the condition that the guardian gives his/her consent for buying products from Luova.fi.

1 Registration

1.1 In order for Luova.fi to follow its commitments in contract policy, the consumer should, in connection with his/her order
a. register as a consumer to the Luova.fi customer register by filling the form with his/her name, e-mail address and home address
b. register as a corporate customer to the Luova.fi customer register by filling the form with his/her name, e-mail address and home address
c. grant his/her permission for Luova.fi to add his/her personal data to the customer register
d. if the consumer is under 18 years old, he/she informs his/her guardian's e-mail address to Luova.fi

1.2.Consumer agrees to valid terms of contract with every order, which concerns deliveries in Finland.

1.3 Customer register information in Luova.fi is confidential. Luova.fi agrees not to share customer information with any other instance than internal co-operatives or else that legally is allowed. Information will not be transmitted outside the borders of Finland. The customer has the right to check his/her information from the register. The register functions to maintain customer and business relationships and to develop them. The register contains the following information: name, address, e-mail address, keyword and password. Luova.fi' customer service has responsibility for the register.

2 Prices

2.1 The valid price is that price which exists on the price list at www.luova.fi at the time the order is sent. (Luova.fi reserves the right to adjust prices listed due to technical errors. If the error concerns the order in question,the order will not be handled before confirming the corrected order with the customer.)

2.3 For orders made outside the shopping cart on the web (by phone, fax or e-mail), a handling fee of 2 euro per shipment, independent of the delivery method, will be added to the sum total of the order. A handling fee of 5 euro will be added to express deliveries.

3 Terms of payment

Bank card & Credit card payments

3.1 We accept bank cards, VISA and Mastercard payments. The payment process and the transmission of bank/credit card information takes place on the secure servers of the financial institutions. Luova.fi will not save your bank/credit card information during any phase of the payment process. Your bank/credit card information will remain secret at all times.

3.2 The customer’s responsibility is to make sure that the account to be debited has sufficient funds for payment. Should the account in question have insuffient funds or should the debiting of the payment not succeed, the Luova.fi system will offer an alternative payment method.

Other issues

3.5 If we have not received the payment in due time, we will send you a request for payment. If, despite the request, we have not received the payment, we will have the issue resolved by a third party. An alternative to invoice payment is bank card/credit card payment.

3.6 Overdue payments. In case the payment is overdue, we will charge an interest on arrears and send you requests for payment. The payment has to be paid in time to the account quoted on the invoice.

3.7 Inspection of credit information. Should you have registered payment failures, you will have to pay by bank card.< p>

3.8 Canceling an order when paying with bank/credit card. If you have paid your order with a bank/credit card and one of the books ordered is not available or you wish to cancel your order, the money will be refunded to you.

3.9 Our account information. If your invoice is missing, you can send us an e-mail to info@luova.fi , and we will send you the information needed. Please quote the reference number on the invoice when paying.

4 Ordering

4.1 You may order books online at www.luova.fi. You may also order by phone, mail or fax.

4.2 Communication between parties is carried out primarily by-email. The customer agrees to monitor his/her e-mail regarding any Luova.fi notifications.

4.3 Canceling the order or part of the order. If in your order contains products that can not be delivered for example because they are out sold, we cancel those products from the order and notify you about it by email. If these products become available again later, you must reorder them yourself.

5 Delivery

5.1 The estimated delivery time for domestic literature is 3-5 workdays and for foreign literature, approximately 2 weeks. Domestic books in stock will be delivered during the order date if order has been placed before 14.00 PM (valid on weekdays). The delivery time for foreign literature in stock is about 3-5 days. In cases of compelling urgency, we can usually deliver the required books by express in a couple of days. Ask more from our customer service: tel. +358-(0) 9 8775 2991. In these cases, the customer agrees to pay special delivery costs and a handling fee of 5 euro even if he/she returns the item within the limits of the consumer protection legislation.

5.2 Should the delivery time become essentially longer, Luova.fi attempts to inform the customer by e-mail without further delay. The customer has the right to cancel the order by e-mail if delayed significantly. Bookplus reserves the right to cancel the order in case the product is sold out or should there be other insuperable difficulties in obtaining the product.

5.3 Should the order include two or more items with variable delivery times, the order will usually not be sent until all the books have become available for delivery. However, the delivery can be divided into two or more shipments due to consideration from our customer service. If the customer delivery is arranged by mail, the shipping costs will be charged only for the first part shipment unless the order includes a pre-order for which shipping costs will be charged separately afterwards. The customer can agree on several shipments in case he/she wants the available books to be delivered earlier than other items in the same order. In such a case, the customer agrees to pay for the delivery costs for each shipment.

5.6 International deliveries, Please note that terms of delivery and shipping costs vary, shoping program is setting delivery cost at shopping chart view.

6 Return policy

6.1 You have the right to return the ordered products within 14 days of receiving them provided that the goods have not been in use and that they continue to be fit for sale. Please enclose with the purchase returns a copy of the invoice/covering letter or a letter denoting your name, address and order number so that we can track the returned goods to the correct order.

Orders of Special-Order and Print-On-Demand -items are binding and non-returnable.

If you have ordered several books, deduct the price of the returned book from the sum total and pay the difference using the same invoice. We will not send you a new invoice. If you already paid for the book, we will return the price of the product to you after receiving the purchase return. Please include with the purchase return your invoice number, bank name and account number.

Luova.fi pays the postal fee for the return in case you decide to cancel your purchase. If possible, please use the original package the goods arrived in. In any case, pack the books carefully in order to avoid damage during transit.

Do it like this: If the package weighs less than 2 kilograms (letter): Mark the package with a text: "ASIAKASPALAUTUS" and take it to post ofice. Please save the receipt you receive from post office! (You can leave the package to a post box, but you will not get a receipt. We can make a refund without receipt in case your return would for some reason not get to us.

If the package weighs more than 2 kilograms (package), take it to the post office and fill in a "Asiakaspalautus 14" (customer returns) address note. Please remember to save the receipt!

6.2 Commercial code and good commercial practise are applied with regard to returns from corporate customers. If needed, please contact our customer service.

7 Reclamation

7.1 Should a wrong, faulty or damaged product be delivered to the customer, the customer should immediately notify Luova.fi of such an occurrence by e-mail info@luova.fi Faulty products will usually be replaced by delivering the customer a product free from defects. In case this is not possible, there is a possibility to cut down the price or cancel the order.

8 Force majeure

8.1 Luova.fi is not responsible if a delivery is prevented, impeded or delayed due to a reason outside of Luova.fi' influence. These impediments include war, natural catastrophe, import or export prohibition, decision of an authority, disturbance in public transport or energy supply, work stoppage or any other comparable matter that impedes with or prevents the activities of Luova.fi or its suppliers.

9 Settling a dispute

9.1 Finnish law shall be applied to all disputes arising from this contract.

10 Further information

10.1 Enquiries concerning orders, returns, deliveries and billing should be sent by e-mail to info@Luova.fi .

10.2 Luova.fi reserves the right not to sell and deliver products to a customer if he/she has overdue and unpaid invoices or if he/she in any other manner misuses Luova.fi' services. Luova.fi may then, due to its discretion, require the customer to make an advance payment before delivering a new order.

10.3 If the customer wishes to make a remark, comments should be sent by e-mail to info@Luova.fi or by mail to Luova.fi Albertinkatu 16 00120 Helsinki Finland.
